Job Description

Placed.au is looking for a full-time Hospitality Operations & Mobile Venue Manager for our client in Altona North, Victoria. This role is responsible for the end-to-end coordination of hospitality, service, and logistical operations across fixed and mobile venues, including catering services. The position combines operational management, staff leadership, business development, compliance oversight, and customer service to support business growth and consistent service delivery. - Oversee day-to-day operations across hospitality outlets, mobile food venues, and catering services, ensuring consistent quality and compliance.
- Coordinate logistics, rostering, scheduling, setup, and service readiness across all venues, market days, special events, and private catering functions.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures covering food handling, service delivery, and site logistics.
- Ensure mobile food trucks, equipment, and stock are maintained and operationally ready.
- Identify and evaluate new trading locations, festivals, markets, and business opportunities to support expansion.
- Coordinate operational setup and compliance requirements for new mobile food truck locations.
- Liaise with councils, market organisers, and private landholders regarding permits, site access, and trading rights.
- Manage catering services from booking through to delivery, including client liaison, menu requirements, staffing, transportation, setup, and event logistics.
- Recruit, train, roster, mentor, and provide performance feedback to staff across multiple locations.




- Ensure staff are trained in food handling, customer service, and safety protocols.
- Manage venue budgets, sales targets, supplier relationships, ordering, stock management, and expense tracking.
- Monitor operational performance, prepare reports, and recommend improvements to profitability and efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with health, food safety, mobile trading, licensing, insurance, and workplace safety requirements.
- Maintain high customer service standards and brand consistency across all venues, markets, and catering events.
- Address customer feedback and operational issues promptly and professionally.

Qualifications / Attributes

- Must hold a relevant Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Must possess at least three (3) years of relevant work experience in hospitality operations, venue management, mobile food operations, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-site hospitality or mobile food operations.
- Robust knowledge of mobile venue logistics, event operations, and catering coordination.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with an emphasis on training and service culture.
- Sound commercial and budgeting skills, including cost control and profitability tracking.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage suppliers, staff, clients, councils, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, evenings, and during scheduled events.
- Current Food Safety Supervisor certification and driver's licence are preferred.

Salary Range $75,000 – $95,000 per annum excluding superannuation.
