About the Team

We deliver prime systems integration projects which build, develop and support military solutions for Defence. The team focuses on leveraging our local engineering, our services expertise, and global products to bring new capabilities to the Australian Defence Force.
The Opportunity
An exciting chance exists to join our Land and Sea Systems team, focused on sustaining and introducing new capabilities into service for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). Working on the SEA1770 program, you will partner closely with the Technical Lead to understand priorities, solve complex problems and support the delivery of outcomes that matter. Systems supported include Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), ruggedised portable computing systems, weather stations and weather RADAR equipment, and hydrographic survey systems.
In this role, you will:
Deliver ICT engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, from technical planning and design through to implementation and support.
Build, deploy and manage secure Windows 10 and 11 operating system images to support project and operational requirements.
Integrate, configure and test serial and Ethernet-based peripheral devices and sensor interfaces.
Develop and implement Group Policy, operating system security settings and endpoint management solutions,
including Microsoft Intune.
Support ICT security accreditation activities, ensuring systems meet security and compliance requirements.
Produce technical documentation, implementation plans and project schedules, while providing ICT subject matter expertise to project engineering teams.
About You
We are looking for someone who brings judgement, curiosity and a collaborative approach to work that matters.
Essential for this role:
Bachelor's degree in either Computer Systems or Telecommunications/Networks
Experience within Defence or Government information environments
Experience establishing and maintaining ICT security accreditation
Experience planning and delivering infrastructure migrations, upgrades or deployment projects
Strong documentation and change-management discipline
Clear written and verbal communication skills
This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian citizen and be eligible to obtain Baseline security clearance.
