Narangba Station Medical Centre is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our healthcare team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a supportive medical environment. Based in Narangba, this role offers flexibility whilst enabling you to make a meaningful difference to our patients' lives. As a Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, effective and dignified care to patients across a range of medical and surgical conditions.

Key responsibilities
n
n
- Assessing and monitoring patients' physical and emotional health status, recording observations and reporting changes to medical staff
n
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols
n
- Providing direct patient care including wound dressing, cannulations and other clinical procedures
n
- Supporting patients with activities of daily living and promoting patient comfort and dignity
n
- Communicating effectively with patients, families and members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care
n
- Maintaining accurate and timely patient records in compliance with regulatory requirements
n
- Collaborating with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
n
- Identifying and responding to patient safety concerns and adverse events
n
- Ensuring infection control and health and safety standards are maintained at all times
n

What we're looking for
n
n
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
n
- Qualification in general nursing with demonstrated competency in medical and surgical nursing care
n
- Strong clinical knowledge and practical skills in patient assessment, care delivery and monitoring
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
n
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively in a busy clinical environment
n
- Commitment to patient-centred care and maintaining professional standards of practice
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
n
- Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to changing clinical demands
n
- Previous experience in general medical or surgical nursing is highly valued
