St Thomas More College is a Brisbane Catholic Education co-educational secondary college catering for approximately 1150 students. Our college opened in 1974 and from inception developed a strong commitment to the pastoral care of students. invites applications for this School Senior Leadership position with the capability to:

- lead the religious life of the school and build a vibrant Catholic identity within the school community;
n
- grow the engagement, progress, achievement and wellbeing of each student in the school; and

- build a sustainable school community, ensuring stewardship of resources with transparency, accountability and compliance.

In this position you will be responsible for:
n
n
- providing faith-filled leadership that strengthens the Catholic identity, mission and religious life of the College;
n
- leading high-quality teaching, learning and wellbeing practices that support student engagement, achievement and holistic growth;
n
- building a collaborative, sustainable and inclusive school community through effective staff leadership, strategic planning, stewardship and governance.

About you
n
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
n
n
- Experience as an Assistant Principal, Assistant Principal Religious Education, Deputy Principal, Head of Campus or Principal, or a senior role providing support and leadership to Catholic schools, or equivalent experience
n
- Experience in teaching, and leading the teaching of, religious education.
n
n
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements
n
n
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
n
- Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
n
- For this position you are required to be Catholic (or a faith partner of one of our ecumenical schools).

- Extensive experience in educational leadership, including a strong track record of implementing innovative teaching practices, curriculum development, and improving student outcomes in accordance with AITSL standards.
