Requirements and Role Expectations Dual Registration: Must maintain current registration with AHPRA as both a Registered Nurse and a Midwife.

Educational Background: A formal Degree in Nursing, Midwifery, or Health Management is mandatory. Leadership Experience: A minimum of 5 years of clinical leadership experience within a Maternity Unit or a relevant acute care environment is required. Strategic Management: Responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Obstetric service, including resource procurement, staffing, and patient flow.

Clinical Governance: Demonstrated expertise in leading National Standards and implementing robust clinical governance frameworks to ensure patient safety.
Collaborative Leadership: Proven ability to work autonomously while fostering a culture of excellence and career development within a multidisciplinary team. Innovation & Research: Expected to lead the review of clinical indicators and implement new maternity programs to enhance consumer experience.
