An exciting opportunity exists for experienced Electrical and Mechanical Fitters to join a major passenger rolling stock retrofit project with one of Australia's leading transport organisations. Working from a modern, purpose-built rail maintenance facility on the Central Coast, you'll be involved in upgrading Australia's newest passenger train fleet while working alongside a highly skilled engineering and maintenance team.

- Monday to Friday | 6:30am - 3:00pm

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Install and retrofit mechanical and electrical components on passenger rolling stock
n
- Carry out electrical cabling, mechanical assembly and precision fitting
n
- Perform testing, commissioning and functional checks
n
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
n




- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
n
- Complete quality, safety and maintenance documentation
n
- Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors and project teams
n
- Maintain compliance with rail safety and WHS requirements
n

About YouTo be successful, you will have:

n

n
- Australian recognised Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification (Cert III or higher)
n
- A Grade Electrical Licence (Electrical applicants)
n
- Experience within rolling stock, heavy vehicles, mining, defence, aviation, mobile plant or similar industries
n
- Strong fault-finding, assembly and troubleshooting skills
n
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
n
- Excellent safety focus and ability to work independently or within a team
n

Pre-Employment Requirements Successful applicants will be required to complete:

- Category 3 Rail Medical including Drug & Alcohol Screening
n
- National Police Check
n
- Australian Work Rights Verification
n
- Trade Skills Assessment
n
- Reference Checks
n
- RIW Card (if not already held)
