General Manager (Commercial Property Management)

Randstad is proud to partner with a real estate consultancy who is is seeking an experienced, high-performing General Manager / Commercial Property Manager to lead the day-to-day strategic and operational performance of a key asset and its dedicated site-based facilities team.You will oversee all aspects of asset management, including strategic business planning, financial management, leasing, building operations, WHS, ESG initiatives, and team development.

This is a short term contract for an eight week period.

Key Responsibilities

n

Lead the development of comprehensive asset plans, complex annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Manage property revenues, monitor outgoings/reconciliations, track capital expenditure, and actively identify value-add opportunities.

Oversee property inspections, safety, maintenance, and service contracts. Lead the implementation of site sustainability projects, ensuring accurate data collection and compliance with Australian standards.

Support owners with strategic leasing, negotiate lease terms,



manage rent reviews, variations, and surrenders, and oversee tenant compliance, bank guarantees, and arrears.

n

Direct, coach, and develop a dedicated onsite team. Manage workloads, succession planning, and performance checks to foster a high-performing workplace culture.

Ensure full adherence to WHS, public liability, essential services, and Knight Frank risk and compliance standards.

n

Act as the key contact for clients, tenants, and contractors. Build solid relationships, maintain tenant retention programs, and identify cross-selling opportunities across the organisation.

What We Are Looking For

n

Experience in senior Asset/Property Management, building operations and lease negotiations

n

Valid Certificate of Registration (salesperson)

n

Deep knowledge of property management, retail lease legislation, building operations, accrual accounting, complex budgeting, and procurement tender processes.

n

Strong financial management skills
