CrewSELECT are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a leading power generation contractor supporting a major infrastructure project in Cooma, NSW. Must be available for an immediate start.

This role will see you maintaining, servicing and repairing large diesel generators, heavy engines and auxiliary power systems, with a strong focus on preventative maintenance, fault finding and breakdown response. About the Role

n

n
- Diagnose, service and repair diesel generators and auxiliary power equipment.
n
- Perform preventative maintenance, breakdown response and fault finding.
n
- Complete inspections, service reports and maintenance documentation.
n
- Assist with equipment installations and commissioning activities.
n
- Maintain compliance with site safety procedures and quality standards.
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Mechanical Trade Qualification (Cert III Engineering – Mechanical or equivalent).
n
- Experience with diesel generators, heavy diesel equipment or power generation systems.
n
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
n




- Ability to work independently and within a small team environment.
n
- Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting and documentation.
n

- Current Manual Driver's Licence.
n
- Construction White Card.
n
- Full Australian Working Rights.
n
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical.
n
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
n

Travel & Mobilisation

- 2:1 roster working 12-hour shifts.

- Flights provided to and from Canberra.
n
- Bus transfer or hire vehicle provided between Canberra and Cooma/site.

- Camp accommodation and site transport supplied.
n
- Four-day paid site induction including SOP training prior to mobilisation.
