Experienced Shower Rebuilder & Bathroom Renovator - Carpenter Pakenham

Location: Start and finish each day at our Pakenham warehouse, work across all Melbourne suburbs
n Role type: Full time, on tools
n Pay: $85,000 - $115,000 base + KPI bonuses + work vehicle + fuel card (after successful paid trial)

Shower and Bathroom Renovation work, not new builds.

n

If you've spent your career framing houses, on new construction, or doing general carpentry- this role is NOT for you.

n

We need someone who has personally rebuilt hundreds of showers and bathrooms and can walk onto a stripped-out job and know exactly what happens next without being told.

n

Applications without demonstrable shower rebuild and bathroom renovation experience will not be shortlisted.

We will know within the first day of work if you have been honest about your experience.

WHO WE ARE

n

The Shower Man Melbourne. 16+ years rebuilding showers and renovating bathrooms across Melbourne. In-house A-Team - we don't subcontract our core trades.

n

Known for finishing what we start, at the standard we promised, on the day we said.

n

We are in growth mode and need to add a second Rebuilder to our Ops team.

n

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (EVERY DAY)

n

n
- Full shower and bathroom demolition
n
- Framing corrections, wall straightening, joist reinforcement, timber floor replacement
n
- Building niches
n
- Sheeting walls and floors
n
- Waterproofing to Australian Standards
n
- Installing door jambs and architraves
n
- Fitting shower screens
n
- Installing vanity cabinets and shaving cabinets/ mirrors
n
- Caulking to an excellent standard
n
- Sequencing your own day and moving between sites without constant supervision
n

You will work independently on site most days- This is not a role for someone who does not like working alone.



You will be trusted to make calls that affect compliance, client outcomes and job profitability. This is not a "wait to be told" role.

MUST HAVES — NO EXCEPTIONS

n

n
- 5+ years hands-on shower rebuild and bathroom renovation experience (renovation, NOT new construction)
n
- Cert III in Waterproofing - either currently held, OR significant waterproofing experience and willing to obtain Cert III within 6 months of commencement with our support
n
- Current driver's licence and White Card
n
- Live in Pakenham or immediate surrounding suburbs
n
- Able to start at our Pakenham warehouse 7:30 am, Mon-Fri
n
- Comfortable travelling up to 100 km across Melbourne during the day
n
- Physically fit - safely lift up to 40 kg (screens, boxes of tile , materials)
n
- Willing to consent to police check and drug screen
n
- Two professional references, one being your most recent employer
n

TRIAL PROCESS

n

Successful applicants complete a paid trial day at our Pakenham warehouse before an offer is made.

n

You will work on a purpose-built training shower training facility we've set up to assess real renovation skill. This is not a chat - it's a proper day on the tools to prove to us that you have the skills and know-how that are required for the job.
