The Opportunity

n

We are looking for a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Apprentice starting their career to join our Energy Services team based on the Sunshine Coast.

n

Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will be part of a team of service technicians, responsible for carrying out operational, maintenance and repair works on a range of HVAC Equipment such as Chilled Water Air Handling Units, Fan Coil Units, Ducted split systems.

What you'll be responsible for

n

Safety & Risk Management – Prioritize safety in all tasks, identify and mitigate hazards, maintain knowledge of HRMS and Life Saving Rules, and report unsafe practices

n

Compliance & Framework Adherence – Comply with the Energy Apprentice Induction Framework (MAN-9215-4), company policies, statutory requirements, and client site requirements

n





Documentation & Administration – Complete all necessary paperwork for work performed and maintain accurate records

n

Training & Career development – Communicate training needs to management, ensure timely completion of required training, and attend all company meetings

n

Work Competency & Quality – Only perform work within your qualification/competence level, maintain correct PPE usage, and halt work if safety is compromised

n

Support & Professionalism – Assist Trade Technicians as needed, maintain professional appearance and conduct, arrive fit for duty, and complete tasks as directed by superiors

n

What you'll need to be successful

n

Safety-focused mindset with high priority on completing work safely

n

Minimum Year 10 school qualifications, valid driver's license, and computer literacy

n

Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent time management and reliability

n

Construction Induction Card and/or pre-apprenticeship training qualification (desirable)

n

Eagerness to learn, attention to detail, and positive attitude

n

Ability to follow direction and work effectively in a team or autonomously

n

Strong relationship-building skills with peers, supervisors, and managers

n

Pride in quality workmanship with proactive approach to improving processes and efficiency

n
