We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join the People & Culture team in Melbourne on a 10–12 month parental leave cover contract.
n
This role will act as the first point of contact for HR support for employees and managers, providing hands-on advice and support across employee relations, HR operations, compliance, systems, and employee experience initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
n
HR Advisory & Employee Relations
n
n
- Provide practical HR advice and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, recruitment, employment matters, and employee relations.
n
- Support employee relations matters including conflict resolution, performance management, absence management, and termination processes.
n
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance employee engagement and wellbeing.
n

- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to enhance employee engagement and wellbeing.

Policy, Compliance & HR Operations
n
n
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, templates, and documentation in line with Australian employment legislation and company standards.
n
- Ensure compliance with Fair Work requirements, National Employment Standards, and internal HR practices.
n
- Manage employment documentation and HR administration processes.
n
n
Advantages & Employee Support

- Provide support and guidance across employee benefits programs, including superannuation, private health insurance, income protection, and wellbeing initiatives.
n
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of benefits programs.
n
n
HR Systems & Reporting
n
n
- Support HR systems and platforms while ensuring accurate employee data and reporting.
n
- Provide HR insights and reporting to support business decisions and continuous improvement.
n
- Experience with Oracle HR systems is advantageous; however, training will be provided.
n
n
Employee Experience & HR Projects
n
n
- Support onboarding, employee lifecycle activities, and employee experience initiatives.
n
- Assist with change management activities and internal communications.
n
- Support learning and development initiatives and regional HR projects.
n
n
About You
n
n
- 3+ years of HR experience, ideally within an automation, manufacturing, industrial, or global organisation.
n
- Good knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, and modern awards.
n
- Experience providing HR advisory support and managing employee relations matters.
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver outcomes.
n
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
n
