Kawana Private Hospital is an accredited, multi-disciplinary day hospital with four operating theatres, delivering a diverse range of surgical services. About the opportunity

We are seeking a Nurse Unit Manager - Operating Theatres to join our team on a full-time or part time basis.

n

- Developing effective relations with key stakeholders; including CURA, VMO's and Reps.

- Managing clinical staff including performance appraisals, production of rosters
n
- Promoting and ensuring safe patient care, evidence of previous experience in Quality, and evidence based best practice policy writing
n

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

n

n




- Registered General Nurse with APHRA registratrion
n
- Post graduate qualification nursing and/or a tertiary qualification in management
n
- 5 years in senior nursing or management positions
n
- Working knowledge of Industrial Relations Acts, regulations and other relevant statutory obligations
n
- Knowledge of the regulation of health care professionals
n
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Accreditation
n
- Understanding of contemporary clinical practice
n
- Knowledge of the ANMC Competency standards for Registered Nurses
n
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
n
