Dry Food Ingredients - Production Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Team Leader to lead our production team in Dandenong, Victoria, focusing on safe and quality food.

n

This is a full-time role and an opportunity to become a leader in our Company.

n

Key responsibilities

n

Plan and oversee daily production operations based on inventory levels and incoming stock

n

Set up and manage packing lines and workforce to ensure efficient and smooth operations

n

Manage rosters, workflow, and staffing allocation to minimise downtime, waste, and bottlenecks

n

Ensure optimal use of labour and resources across production lines

n

Supervise the use of processing and packing equipment while enforcing strict safety protocols

n

Monitor and enforce quality control standards, including correct packing and labelling

n

Oversee HACCP, food safety, and quality programs and maintain documentation for audits

n

Record and report accurate production data daily to the Company Director

n

Ensure clean, safe, and hygienic workspaces and equipment at all times

n





Train and induct new team members on company procedures and safety practices

n

Address staff issues and provide day-to-day leadership and direction to the team

n

Champion workplace health and safety standards in line with company and legal requirements

n

Some heavy lifting (up to 25kg) involved

n

Qualifications and skills

n

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

n

3-5 years of relevant experience.

n

Proven experience in the food manufacturing or processing industry

n

Strong understanding of HACCP, ISO standards and the Food Standards Code

n

Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements

n

Hands-on experience with packing machinery and line operations (experience with colour sorting machines is highly regarded)

n

Demonstrated leadership experience managing production and/or warehouse teams

n

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

n

A proactive, can-do attitude with attention to detail

n

Remuneration and benefits:

$90,000 gross annual salary (including superannuation)
