Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Senior Practitioner tobring energy, insight andtrauma-informed leadership to a current andinfluential role across ourservices.

Working alongside the General Manager – Practice Excellence, you will have the opportunity to help shape how this role evolves, bringing a strong sense of ownership, innovation and professional influence. This is a hands-on practice leadership position where you will support high-quality, culturally safe and evidence-informed care across Youth and Communities, Foster and Kinship Care, and Disability and Allied Health programs.

In this pivotal role, you will provide professional supervision, practical guidance and confident practice leadership to teams supporting children and young people with complex trauma backgrounds. Your relational, strengths-based approach will help strengthen wrap-around case management, improve consistency, reduce risk and support positive, lasting outcomes.

Qualifications/Requirements:
n
A bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or a related discipline.
n
Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, attachment theory and child development.
n
The confidence to work autonomously, drive innovation and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
n
Training in therapeutic crisis intervention models, such as TCI or equivalent, is desirable.
n
Working with Children Check and LCS check, or willingness to obtain.
n
Police check, or willingness to obtain.
n
Experience working with culturally diverse communities, including First Nations young people.
n
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
n
Experience in leading teams, providing supervision, or acting in a senior capacity within a therapeutic or care setting is desirable.
n
Valid Open or P2 driver's licence
n
