Boasting over forty individually designed bedrooms spread over four floors, we have an eclectic mix of private and shared rooms, dorms and pods to suit every style of traveller.

Tasks & Responsibilities

General Maintenance & Repairs

n

- Perform routine inspections of the property to identify and resolve issues.
n
- Carry out minor repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks.
n
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests.
n
- Replace light bulbs, fix leaking taps, unblock toilets/showers, and adjust doors or windows as needed.
n

Upkeep & Safety

n

n
- Ensure all hostel facilities (kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, common areas) are safe and operational.
n
- Monitor and report any hazards, damage, or potential safety concerns.
n
- Maintain outdoor areas, including courtyards, signage, and entranceways.
n

Preventive Maintenance

n

n
- Monitor and maintain heating/cooling systems and hot water systems.
n




- Schedule and perform routine checks to prevent breakdowns or wear and tear.
n
- Assist with moving furniture, bunk beds, or equipment when required.
n
- Help with waste management and rubbish removal when necessary.
n
- Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are clean, secure, and in good condition.
n

Reporting & Communication

- Keep records of completed work, maintenance logs, and inventory of tools/supplies.
n
- Liaise with the hostel manager regarding larger repairs, budgets, or external contractors.
n
- Communicate with team members in a friendly, professional manner.
