Job Description

This global data centre developer and operator is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer. You'll provide mechanical engineering input from early project stages through to detailed design, construction and operations, working on some of the region's most significant digital infrastructure.

The role

- Provide technical input on concept design, site selection and cooling assessments
n
- Prepare technical documentation and review vendor proposals for long-lead equipment
n
- Steer and review consultant designs to ensure they're compliant, technically correct and buildable
n
- Identify and remove over-engineering to reduce construction cost
n
- Support construction activities through review and approval of workshop drawings
n
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute technical input to R&D; and operational issues

About you

n

n




- Very robust mechanical engineering experience across concept design, detailed design and construction support for complex infrastructure
n
- Expert knowledge of data centre or mission-critical cooling systems (chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC, pumps, controls)
n
- Experience managing engineering consultants and reviewing designs for accuracy, compliance and buildability
n
- A track record of value-engineering to reduce construction cost
