About Us

We're a family-owned automatic transmission specialist in Ringwood with more than four decades in the trade. We run a busy workshop, we work hard, and we look after our customers. We need a Workshop Manager who can run the front-of-house, keep jobs moving, and communicate clearly with customers, technicians, parts suppliers and other automotive businesses.

The Role

n

This is a hands-on workshop leadership role. You'll run the service desk, manage bookings, quotes and invoices, and stay on top of job flow from start to finish. You'll also be the go-between for parts suppliers and external automotive businesses, making sure parts arrive on time, jobs stay on schedule, and communication is tight.

Key Responsibilities

n

Run the front-of-house service desk and control daily workflow

n

Manage bookings, job scheduling and technician coordination

n

Process repair orders, quotes, invoices and job documentation accurately

n

Deal with customers professionally - phone, counter and follow-ups

n

Act as the main contact for parts suppliers,



couriers and external automotive businesses

n

Chase parts, confirm availability, manage delays and keep technicians updated

n

Maintain tight communication between customers, technicians and suppliers

n

Keep the service centre organised, efficient and running smoothly

n

Handle issues, delays and customer concerns without fuss

n

About You

n

Solid workshop leadership or workflow management experience

n

Clear communicator who can deal confidently with customers, technicians and suppliers

n

Highly organised with solid attention to detail

n

Experience in automotive service, workshop admin or service advising

n

Comfortable with workshop management systems and quoting/invoicing tools

n

Practical, steady under pressure and solutions-focused

n

Understands how a busy workshop operates and what keeps it moving

n
