The Role

n

We are seeking a trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This role offers excellent variety, working on a diverse fleet of heavy transport trucks and trailers. You will handle everything from routine servicing and diagnostic troubleshooting to major engine overhauls.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

n

- Maintenance: Perform logbook servicing, preventative maintenance, and mechanical repairs on heavy trucks and trailers.
n
- Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and rectify complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults.
n
- Component Overhauls: Assist with or lead major component rebuilds (engines, gearboxes, differentials).
n
- Compliance: Complete explicit workshop job cards and ensure all repairs meet safety and roadworthiness standards.
n
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively alongside our workshop manager, apprentices,



and office team.

What We Are Looking For

n

n
- Qualifications: Trade Certificate (Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent).
n
- Experience: Proven experience (2 years) working on heavy diesel trucks (e.g., Kenworth, Volvo, Mack, Isuzu) and trailers.
n
- Licence: A valid Australian Driver's Licence (HR or HC licence is a massive advantage).
n
- Tools: Your own comprehensive set of hand tools.
n
- Attitude: A strong work ethic, a focus on safety, and a great sense of humour to match our team culture.
