Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Drafting Manager to lead and develop the drafting team in the Sunshine Coast.

n

Whilst drafting knowledge is a must, the role is more about leadership, mentorship and driving quality and standards. You will play a critical role in coordinating the teams day & ensuring work produced is accurate and efficient.

n

Please note the role is based in the Sunshine Coast and would not suit a fully remote candidate.

The Role:

n

n
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of up to 8 drafters - onsite
n
- Set daily priorities and coordinate team workflow
n
- Ensure drawings are accurate, detailed, and construction-ready
n
- Review shop drawings before issue to Project Managers
n
- Monitor output to ensure targets and deadlines are met
n
- Drive improvements in systems, processes and efficiencies
n
- Maintain and uplift drafting standards across all projects
n

What We're Looking For:

n

n




- Strong knowledge of joinery drafting - Pallette Cad would be advantageous but not essential (would accept similar software knowledge)
n
- Excellent understanding of joinery construction methodology
n
- A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement
n
- Strong communication skills, particularly with remote teams
n
