Full Stack Engineer (Mid-Level, AI-Focused)

Salary: $80K-$120K + Super

Certus Recruitment Group is partnering with a global digital and design-led organisation to hire a Full Stack Engineer with a passion for AI-driven product development.

n

This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, creative technology, and applied AI - perfect for developers who enjoy experimenting, prototyping, and building high-impact digital tools.

n

The team is also open to strong Front End Developers and Backend Developers who meet the technical criteria and can demonstrate relevant portfolio work.

n

Important: A portfolio showcasing prototypes, AI tools, experiments, or creative technical work is required. Candidates without a portfolio will not be considered.

Responsibilities

n

n
- Develop and maintain modern web applications and RESTful APIs.
n
- Build and integrate AI/ML features across front-end and back-end systems.
n
- Create intelligent tools such as generative design features, recommendation engines, and data-driven utilities.
n
- Contribute to software architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
n
- Deploy, monitor, and manage cloud applications within AWS or Azure.
n
- Implement scalable CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps processes.
n
- Work within agile, multidisciplinary teams alongside designers, engineers, and product stakeholders.
n
- Participate in a structured interview and portfolio review process with global digital leadership.
n

Requirements

n

Core Technical Skills

n

n
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience
n
- (or equivalent experience as a specialist Front End or Backend Developer).
n
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, ES6/TypeScript,



and responsive UI development.
n
- Experience using contemporary JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.
n
- Backend development experience with Python (FastAPI/Flask), .NET Core, or Node.js.
n
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, relational and/or NoSQL databases, and Git workflows.
n
- Solid grasp of scalable code patterns, maintainability, and engineering best practice.
n

AI/ML Integration

n

n
- Experience or strong interest in OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, or similar ecosystems.
n
- Portfolio demonstrating AI prototypes, creative tools, or experimental builds (mandatory).
n
- Exposure to generative design, intelligent search, context-aware systems, or semantic tooling is beneficial.
n

Mindset & Collaboration

- Curious, experimental, and research-oriented, with a passion for exploring emerging technologies.
n
- Strong communication skills, able to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
n
- Comfortable working autonomously as well as within agile, cross-functional teams.
n
- Interest in design technology, built environments, or human-centred digital systems is a plus.
