About the Role

n

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our field survey team as a Survey Assistant. In this role, you'll assist field surveyors on a variety of design, construction, cadastral, and engineering projects. Through hands-on training and mentorship, you'll gain a broad understanding of surveying best practices and develop the skills needed to advance your career.

You're passionate about becoming a surveyor or exploring opportunities with a progressive survey and spatial data firm, this is the perfect starting point.

Your Responsibilities

n

n
- Preparing project sites and handling survey equipment and pegs.
n
- Setting up instruments, GPS units, and 3D scanning equipment & drones (potentially).
n




- Assisting surveyors with fieldwork, including marking points, lines, and offsets with pegs and spray paint.
n
- Collecting and managing field data under the surveyor's guidance.
n
- Setting up and running 3D scanning missions, processing data, and adhering to company QA processes.
n
- Performing repair work on survey markings as needed.
n
- Maintaining and stocking vehicles with equipment and supplies.
n
- Learning and applying industry guidelines and best practices to fieldwork.

- A General Construction Induction Card (or be willing to obtain one).
