Role Overview
n
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Manager to join a well-established organisation supplying into the defence sector on an initial 6-month contract, with the strong possibility of extension.
n
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll oversee the end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions while leading an established team and ensuring the smooth delivery of critical finance operations. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines people management, process improvement, stakeholder engagement and financial governance within a complex and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
n

- Lead the end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant transaction processing.
n
- Manage month-end and year-end close activities, reconciliations and reporting.
n
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems and internal controls.
n
- Lead, coach and develop the AP/AR team while fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
n
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver exceptional service and resolve issues efficiently.
n
- Monitor KPIs, ensure regulatory compliance and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
n

Candidate Profile
n
This opportunity will suit an experienced transactional finance leader who enjoys developing teams, improving processes and building strong stakeholder relationships.
n
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
n
n
- Proven experience managing Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable functions within a large or complex organisation.
n
- Previous leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.
n
- Strong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations and month-end processes.
n
- Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
n
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the business.
n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce or Business will be highly regarded.
n
