Responsibilities

n

This role ensures that all guest areas, back‐of‐house spaces, and exterior surfaces are well‐maintained, visually appealing, and in line with brand standards.

n

- Complete painting and maintenance tasks in line with the Work Request System, Preventative Maintenance Program, and supervisor direction.
n
- Perform touch‐ups and repainting work in guest rooms, public areas, and back‐of‐house spaces, anticipating and attending to guest needs with minimal disruption.
n
- Inspect hotel areas regularly and respond promptly to defects, repairs, and guest or inter‐departmental requests, following up with appropriate tradespersons or management where required.
n
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good condition, continue developing knowledge of maintenance systems, and ensure proper use and care of all operating equipment.
n
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team, maintain positive working relationships, attend meetings, assist other departments when required, and perform any additional duties as directed by management.

Qualifications

n

n




- Previous experience as a Painter or Handyperson in general maintenance or a similar role.
n
- Strong problem‐solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
- Good communication skills and a guest‐focused approach to service.
n
- Familiarity with basic repair techniques across carpentry and plumbing (advantageous).
n
- Ability to follow safety procedures and WH&S; guidelines.
n
- Comfortable using maintenance systems and logging work accurately.
n
- Physically fit and able to respond quickly to requests across the hotel.
n
- Flexible availability, including rotating shifts and weekends.
n
