Whitsunday Crocodile Safari, operating qualified day tours on Proserpine River for over 24 years, has a vacancy for a tour guide.

The position:

- Permanent position (subject to 6 months probation)
n
- Full time hours, on a regular 5 days on 2 days off roster, with some flexibility required due to operational requirements.
n
- Will include working on weekends, public and school holidays.
n

The role:
n
n
- Providing informative commentary while guiding guests on a nature experience on Proserpine River estuary and its adjoining wetland environment.
n
- Skippering a 7.3 metre, 32 seat commercial viewing vessel on Proserpine River.
n
- Driving a tractor drawn wagon train through wetlands and pastures.
n
- Driving a 14 seat mini bus,
transferring guests to and from accommodation.
n
- Preparation and service of damper, billy tea and BBQ lunch.
n
- Offering quality customer service throughout the day tour.
n

The person:
n
n
- Experience working in the tourism industry as a tour guide is ESSENTIAL.
n
- Customer service experience in the tourism industry is ESSENTIAL.
n
- A permanent resident of Australia is ESSENTIAL.
n
- Hold an LR driver's licence and Driver Authorisation, or have the ability to obtain these on commencement.
n
- Must have a keen interest in nature and wildlife and enjoy working outdoors.
