Mt Evelyn Medical Surgery is seeking a reliable, proactive, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our dedicated team on a Permanent Part time basis.

Working alongside the GPs, nurses, and administrative colleagues, you will play a vital role in creating a warm, supportive, and efficient environment for our practice and local community.

Working Hours & Availability

- Role Type: Permanent Part-Time.
n
- Rostered Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
n
- Hours: Shifts range between 8:15am – 6:30pm (approx. 30 hours per week). Note: This role includes opening and closing duties.
n
- Flexibility: Opportunities for additional hours to cover team leave where available.
n

Key Responsibilities

n

As the first point of contact for the surgery, your day-to-day will involve:

n

- Front Desk: Meeting and greeting patients with a friendly, professional demeanour.
n
- Communication: Managing incoming calls, triaging enquiries,



and effectively liaising with doctors and nurses.
n
- Administration: Co-ordinating appointments, processing patient accounts, and receipting payments.
n
- Clinical Support: Ensuring consult rooms are stocked with appropriate supplies and maintaining a tidy, welcoming waiting area.

Skills & Experience

n

- Experience: Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist is preferred.
n
- Software: Proficiency with Best Practice is highly desirable.
n
- Attributes: Strong initiative, the ability to multitask, and high attention to detail.
n
- Reliability: You must be punctual, dependable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a cooperative team.
n
