Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our Port Melbourne team. This role is ideal for a hands‐on professional with strong mechanical expertise and experience in heavy manufacturing environments.

What You'll Do:

n

- Perform troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance across a wide range of mechanical and electro‐mechanical systems.
n
- Carry out bearing fitting, V‐belt maintenance, laser alignment, and general mechanical rebuilds.
n
- Maintain and repair pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and press fittings.
n
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment within a large‐scale manufacturing environment.
n

What You'll Bring:

n

n
- Trade qualification: Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
n




- Proven experience in heavy manufacturing, FMCG, petrochemical, power & energy generation, or mining industries.
n
- Exposure to plasterboard manufacturing will be highly regarded.
n
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, with confidence in troubleshooting and repairs.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‐paced environment.
