About the Role

n

As the Bus Driver, you will be responsible for assisting residents in enjoying group recreational activities, contributing to their overall well-being. You will drive responsibly, maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the bus, and provide exceptional customer service. You will report your conversation with residents, participate in self-development activities and support business planning and policy development within your area of responsibility.

Responsibilities include:

n

n
- Drives responsibly, adhering to all road rules, safety regulations, and health and safety requirements.
n
- Maintains the roadworthiness of the bus, ensures the vehicle is kept clean and tidy and reports any maintenance issues while in use.
n
- Accompanies residents on group outings such as scenic drives, shopping trips, and visits to local attractions.
n
- Loads and unloads equipment, folds and unfolds mobility aids, and provides support to residents throughout the outing.

About You

n

To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have:

n

n
- Moderate experience in operating a small bus and using lifting equipment is preferred.
n




- C Class Open License or Medium/Heavy rigid Driving Licence for buses with greater than 11 passenger capacity is prescribed.
n
- Proficient in Vehicle Maintenance, Mechanics and Inspection, Knowledge of Road Safety, Knowledge of Traffic Rules and Regulations, Defensive Driving Techniques and Navigation & Routing skills.
n
- Excellent Communication, Planning and Prioritisation and Analytical thinking skills.
n
