Testing and Commissioning Electricians - Goulburn River Solar Farm

NX Blue are currently recruiting for experienced, proactive, safety conscious Testing and Commissioning Electricians for a Client working on the Goulburn River Solar Farm near Merriwa NSW. This will be a DIDO role and fully accommodated. Travel via company supplied bus to and from site from Both Sydney central and Newcastle central.

Roster: 14:7 roster / DIDO, 10 hour days
n Location: Meriwa NSWLength:12 Month Contract with possible extension
n Start– ASAP - May

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Conduct commissioning, functional testing, and energisation of HV electrical systems, such as control systems, switchgear, transformers, and protection relays
n
- Interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and test procedures
n
- Inspect and troubleshoot LV systems, electrical faults and non-conformances
n
- Calibrate, verify and validate instrumentation
n
- Ensure all work complies with AS/NZS 3000, AS 2067, and other applicable standards
n
- Maintain accurate test records and commissioning documentation
n
- Liaise with engineers, package managers, and operations personnel to coordinate commissioning activities
n
- Adhere to all site safety, environmental, and quality procedures
n

- Test insulation resistance, continuity, polarity.
n
- Inspect and troubleshoot LV systems, electrical faults and non-conformances
n
- Calibrate, verify and validate instrumentation
n
- Ensure all work complies with AS/NZS 3000, AS 2067, and other applicable standards
n
- Maintain accurate test records and commissioning documentation
n
- Liaise with engineers, package managers, and operations personnel to coordinate commissioning activities
n
- Adhere to all site safety, environmental, and quality procedures
n

Key Skills & Qualifications:

n

n
- NSW Electrical Licence or equivalent
n
- HV Switching Operator certification
n
- Current CPR/LVR
n
- White Card
n
- Valid Drivers license
n
- Demonstrated experience in high-voltage installation and commissioning
n
- Strong understanding of protection and control systems
n
- High level of commitment to safety and compliance
n
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
n
- Ability to work independently and within a commissioning team
n

n

Experience:

n

n
- Minimum 5+ year's experience in mining, renewable energy, or high-voltage infrastructure, including AC and DC chargers
n
- Proven experience preparing and executing High Voltage switching including preparation of switching programs
n
- Familiarity with commissioning documentation and pre-commissioning processes
n
- Understanding of isolation and permitting systems
n
