Owned and operated by The Standard Market Company, a retail company that specialises in gourmet food, you will be joining a vibrant team and a business that is undergoing major growth.

We have a Casual opportunity for a Bakery Assistant to join our very busy Team.

n

You must be available for some early morning starts (3:00AM) for morning set up. There will be a variety of shifts available, but early starts and weekend availability is an essential part of this role.

n

Duties and responsibilities

n

n
- Store set up - Packaging, wrapping different bakery products to be displayed on shelves.
n
- Arranging Cake and Food Displays.
n
- Slicing breads, heating pies, merchandising, Assisting Bakers / Pastry Chefs with packaging, serving customers.
n




- Providing exceptional Customer Service.
n
- Taking orders over the phone.
n
- Use of POS Registers.
n
- EFTPOS & Cash Handling.
n
- Cleaning & Sanitisation of display cabinets and direct work areas.
n

Qualifications and requirements

n

n
- Be available to work 5 days a week, with weekends essential.
n
- Physically fit as this role requires you to be able to lift and move products regularly.
n
- Be reliable and hard working.
n
- Be a team player with good communication skills.
n
- Have a passion for high-quality baked goods.
n
- Previous experience within a Bakery environment will be highly regarded.
n
