The Team Leader guides and manages teams focused on planning and delivering 'front line' housing services. A key priority is ensuring high quality client service for those seeking housing assistance or living in public housing.

n

This role also involves meeting organisational goals, service standards, budget targets, stakeholder expectations, and client needs. Operating in a energetic environment, the Team Leader must understand the context, make sound decisions, achieve outcomes, and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

n

The Team Leader will operate at a level consistent with the Victorian Public Service 5.1 Grade Descriptors and Value Range Standard Descriptors as set out in the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

n

- Lead a team of housing staff that support applicants/renters on behalf of the department, including work allocation, human resource and performance and reporting management consistent with the organisational goals and values.
n




- Effectively supervise and provide leadership to a team(s) by:
n

n

– modelling behaviours integral to good people management and departmental values

n

– supporting individuals to achieve their potential while maximising their contribution to achieve their goals and outcomes

n

– where relevant, support specific improvement objectives in annual improvement plans relating to the area of responsibility

n

– building and maintaining positive relationships with peers and stakeholders across the organisation.

- Manage, interpret and apply business plans and policies in own area of responsibility and provide advice to others on design and implementation issues.
