Homestyle Bakeries is a proudly Australian, family-owned business producing quality bakery products.

We're continuing to invest in our Toowoomba site, with new equipment being installed as we grow. As a result, we're looking for Maintenance Trades Assistants to join our team and help keep our operation running at its best.

n

The Opportunity

n

This isn't your typical production maintenance role. With ongoing expansion across the site, you'll be involved in a mix of maintenance, repairs, equipment installs, upgrades, relocations, and improvement projects. One day you might be helping install a new conveyor, the next you'll be assisting with preventative maintenance or troubleshooting equipment issues.

n

If you're handy with tools, mechanically minded, and enjoy practical, hands-on work, we'd love to hear from you. Whether you've worked as a Trades Assistant, Maintenance Assistant, Labourer, Farm Hand, Mechanic's Assistant, Workshop Hand, or in another hands-on role, we'll consider applicants with the right attitude and work ethic.

What You'll Be Doing

n

- Assisting Fitters with maintenance and repair work
n
- Helping install, relocate, and commission equipment
n
- Supporting preventative maintenance activities
n




- Performing basic mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks
n
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
n
- Conducting equipment inspections and reporting issues
n
- Keeping work areas clean, organised, and safe
n
- Supporting improvement projects across the site
n

- Mechanical aptitude and confidence using tools
n
- Previous experience in a hands-on role
n
- A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
n
- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment
n
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
n
- Good problem-solving skills
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n

Highly Regarded

n

n
- Manufacturing, maintenance, workshop, farming, or construction experience
n
- Welding, fabrication, fitting, or mechanical experience
n
