Job Description
NewDirection Care (NDC) is an innovative and award-winning aged care and disability support community designed around the belief that every person deserves to live "as normal a life as possible." We are now seeking a passionate and dedicated Educator to join our team to help strengthen capability, enhance quality, and support our unique model of care.
n
About the Role
n
As the Educator, you will play a pivotal role in developing, training, mentoring, and supporting staff across NDC. You will ensure all employees have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide safe, innovative, and high-quality care to both Aged Care residents and NDIS participants.
n
Your work will directly influence organisational culture, professional growth, and the delivery of excellence in care.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Deliver induction, orientation, and ongoing training for all new and existing staff.
n
- Manage and maintain the UKG Learning Management System.
n
- Develop and update training materials to reflect current research, legislation, and best practice.
n
- Provide hands‐on mentoring and support across all care environments (houses, café, wellness centre, etc.).
n
n
Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
n
n
- Promote adherence to the Aged Care Act 2024, NDIS Act 2013, ACQSC Standards, and NDIS Practice Standards.
n
- Review audit results, identify training needs, and implement improvement‐based education.
n
- Ensure accurate documentation of training attendance and evaluation.
n
- Foster a positive, professional,
and supportive learning environment.
n
- Build strong working relationships and provide coaching to all staff.
n
- Actively contribute to a culture of innovation, growth, and quality care.
n
- Lead evidence‐based improvements to training and practice.
n
- Encourage creative approaches to care and community engagement.
n
n
About You
n
You are an enthusiastic educator who thrives on supporting others to learn, grow, and achieve excellence. You have a passion for aged care, disability support, and person‐centred practice.
n
You will bring:
n
n
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (required).
n
- Strong knowledge of aged care and/or disability legislation and quality standards.
n
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and training capability.
n
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
n
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic, evolving care workplace.
n
- Technological proficiency in educational systems and tools.
n
n
Highly Desirable:
n
n
- Registered Nurse (AHPRA).
n
- Postgraduate qualifications relevant to aged care.
n
- Prior experience as an Educator in Aged Care or similar industry.
n
n
Mandatory Requirements:
n
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Card.
n
- COVID-19 vaccination in line with public health requirements.
n
n
