Boilermaker Welder – NWI Fabrication
n Wetherill Park, Western Sydney | Full-time

NWI Fabrication, the fabrication division of NWI Group, is a growing business specialising in high-end structural steel, engineered solutions, and industrial automation and construction projects. NWI Group is a family-owned and operated business with offices in five states across Australia. Our fabrication division and workshop are based in Wetherill Park, Sydney.

We're looking for an experienced Boilermaker Welder to join our team.
n
About the Role
n
As a Boilermaker Welder at NWI Fabrication, you'll be hands-on across the full fabrication process — from reading the drawings through to fit-up, welding, and final assembly. You'll work on a genuine variety of projects, from structural steel packages for commercial and industrial construction through to engineered stainless steel and specialist fabrication work, in a modern, well-equipped Wetherill Park workshop. It's a role suited to a tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants their work to count on certified, high-spec projects.

Your day-to-day will include:
n
n
- Fabrication, assembly, and welding of structural steel, stainless steel, and general metal fabrication work
n
- MIG and TIG welding across carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
n
- Occasional onsite works, including structural steel erection and site fabrication
n
- Loading, unloading, and moving material using a forklift and overhead crane
n
- Working from technical drawings with excellent attention to detail
n
- Following QA processes and completing checks in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and CC3 requirements under AS/NZS 5131
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade, with 3+ years of industry experience
n
- Welding tickets/certifications in positions 7 and 8G
n
- Strong MIG and TIG welding skills across carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium, with welding tickets/certifications in positions 7 and 8G
n
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
n
- Experience welding and working onsite, including structural steel erection
n
- Experience following QA procedures, ITPs, and hold/witness points, ideally on CC3-classified projects
n
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
n
- Good communication skills and the ability to take direction, work unsupervised, and contribute as part of a team
n
- The right attitude and a willingness to learn
n
- Willingness to work overtime and occasionally onsite
n
- A current full driver's licence
n
- A NSW White Card
n
- Overhead crane / dogging (DG) ticket
n
- Working at Heights certification
n
n
