Operating Theatre Floor Coordinator | Brisbane

An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Registered Theatre Nurse to join the busy Perioperative Team as a Floor Coordinator at a private hospital in Brisbane. This permanent full-time role is ideal for Theatre RNs with some floor coordination experience and a keen interest in developing their skills further.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating daily Theatre operations across 6 operating theatres, 2 procedure rooms, and the CSSD department;
- Supporting and coordinating staffing requirements to ensure protected and efficient service delivery;
- Working collaboratively with Theatre teams, Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs), and CSSD to ensure smooth daily operations;
- Overseeing theatre flow, patient movement, and operational activities throughout the department;
- Contributing to achieving high-quality clinical and operational outcomes;
- Providing leadership and support to the perioperative team in a busy, fast-paced environment;
- Assisting in the coordination of resources to ensure efficient theatre utilisation;
- Fostering a collaborative team culture focused on excellence in patient care;
- Supporting the ongoing growth and development of the Perioperative Department,



including the new CSSD service.

REQUIREMENTS

- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Being a Level 2 registered nurse; previous experience as a Clinical Nurse is highly desirable;
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications (desirable);
- Experience in coordinating busy theatres;

REMUNERATION

A salary ranging from $63.63- $68.22per hour.

The hospital, located in Brisbane, is a 70-bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 3 operating theatres. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.
