Trainer & Assessor – Traffic Control and Traffic Management

Upskills QLD is a well-established Registered Training Organisation (RTO 40840) specialising in high-risk, civil construction and traffic management training. We are passionate about delivering engaging, practical and compliant training that prepares students for real-world industry.

About the Role

n

This is a hands-on role delivering both classroom-based and practical training across a range of nationally recognised qualifications.

n

Courses may include:

n

n
- Traffic Controller (RIIWHS205E)
n
- Traffic Management Implementer (RIIWHS302E)
n
- Traffic Mounted Attenuators (TMA)
n

n

Training is delivered across South East Queensland and regional Queensland, with company vehicle provided to sucessful applicant.

n

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Deliver engaging face-to-face training and practical assessments.
n
- Conduct competency-based assessments in accordance with training package requirements.
n
- Support students with professionalism and respect throughout their learning journey.
n
- Maintain accurate training and assessment records.
n
- Follow Upskills QLD's policies, procedures and session plans.
n




- Ensure training is delivered consistently and in accordance with ASQA Standards and regulatory requirements.
n
- Participate in validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities.
n
- Maintain vocational competency, industry currency and professional development.
n
- Represent Upskills QLD professionally with clients and students.
n

Essential Requirements

n

n
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent meeting current requirements).
n
- Current industry experience in traffic control and traffic management.
n
- Relevant vocational competencies for the courses being delivered.
n




- Current TMR approval to deliver Traffic Controller and/or Traffic Management Implementer training (highly regarded).
n
- Current Driver Licence.
n
- White Card.
n
- Ability to travel and occasionally stay overnight for regional training.
n

Highly Desirable

n

n
- Experience working within a Registered Training Organisation.
n
- Experience using student management systems (eSkilled or similar).
n
- Experience delivering training to employment service providers, councils or civil contractors.
n

n
