About the Role
n
We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Clinical Assistant with excellent interpersonal, organisation and communication skills to join our team at Rockhampton. You will be highly motivated with a strong focus on patient care, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
n
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am to 4.00pm (38 hours per week) located between our busy private and Hospital practices.
n
Duties include but are not limited to:
n
n
- Assist Radiologists and Radiographers and other Health Professionals to conduct procedures in MRI,
CT and other areas of the department.
n
- Procedure documentation and coordination with the Radiologists
n
- Cannulation of patients (training can be provided)
n
- Handling specimens and coordination with pathology for delivery
n
- Assist support staff with clerical, record and accounts keeping and the maintenance of patient files as required
n
- Cleaning to maintain high level of health standards in the department
n
- Stock ordering
n
n
About You
n
n
- Previous medical assistant experience is essential or working toward a medical degree
n
- Previous experience in Radiology highly regarded
n
- Ability to promote and maintain high standards of patient care
n
- High level of personal and interpersonal communication
n
- Ability to prioritise and complete tasks in a timely manner and to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
n
