Rex is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as full time solo flight attendants based in Cairns. We are looking for people who are:

n

n
- Independent and self-reliant: As solo Flight Attendants, you will be responsible for managing the entire cabin independently, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers throughout the flight.
n
- Customer-focused: As a solo Flight Attendant you will manage your own cabin and have the opportunity to provide a caring and personalised service, whilst travelling to some of Australia's most unique destinations.
n
- Detail-oriented and safety-conscious: you will need to manage in-flight services while maintaining a high standard of safety and compliance with aviation regulations.
n

The role offers a great work/life balance along with a competitive remuneration and includes working on weekends, public holidays, shift work (which includes early starts & late finishes), and some nights spent away from home.

n

Some of the duties you will perform are equipment/security checks, in-flight announcements, in-flight food & beverage service,



cleaning duties as well as handling various situations that may occur in the cabin, on your own.

- Be 18 years of age or over
n
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
n
- Be no taller than 173 cm
n
- Hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
n
- Hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate - completed within the last 3 years
n
- Be able to demonstrate that you have:
n
- Completed a minimum 3 years of secondary education in Australia or Current Zealand, or
n
- Worked in Australia or New Zealand for at least 3 of the last 5 years, or
n
- Worked in the UK, Ireland or USA for at least 3 of the last 5 years, or
n
- Completed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an overall grade of 5.5.
n
- Be able to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) which involves a police security check
n
- Be passionate about your role and a commitment to delivering exceptional and consistent customer service
n
- Be able to swim fully clothed without aid or floating device (a swim assessment is required)
n
- Be flexible and adaptable; working hours will vary and include working during holiday times and peak periods
n
- Have a high level of personal presentation
n
- Have a natural willingness to please and care for people
n

Extensive training will be provided – flying experience is not required.
