Job Description

Alium Works, in partnership with a high-profile international client, is seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join a project delivery team across nationally significant infrastructure, energy, and data centre projects.

About the role

n

You'll lead day-to-day HSE across live project sites, taking ownership of safety systems, critical risk controls, audits and investigations. You'll work closely with project teams, principal contractors and subcontractors in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.

n

You'll be based on‐site at Derrimut and Truganina with occasional interstate travel required.

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Developing and maintaining project-specific safety systems and the annual OHS Management Plan
n
- Conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations with timely corrective action close-out
n
- Managing high-risk activities and embedding critical risk controls with site teams
n
- Engaging contractors, clients, and delivery partners to drive safety performance
n
- Preparing and delivering HSE reports to Alium Works and Schneider Electric management teams
n
- Coaching and leading members of the team as required
n
- Maintaining a robust site presence, including conflict resolution and de-escalation where needed
n

About you

You're confident on site,



calm under pressure, and strong on follow-through. You don't settle for "compliant," you look for what actually makes the site safer, and you'd rather build up the people around you than just get the job done solo.

What you'll need

n

n
- 5+ years' project-based HSE experience in construction, energy, infrastructure, rail, or another high-risk sector
n
- Diploma of WHS or equivalent industry experience, or willingness to obtain
n
- Construction White Card
n
- Investigation training
n
- Proven experience with audits, inspections, investigations, and safety reporting
n
- Strong communication, influencing, and conflict de-escalation skills
n
- Demonstrated experience leading a team
n
- Solid computer skills and confidence managing multiple systems and digital platforms
n
- Willingness to travel between sites and occasionally interstate
n
