Your role, your impact
n
As the first point of contact for clients, families and visitors, you'll help create a positive and inclusive experience from the moment someone connects with the service. You'll play a central role in ensuring young people, families and community members feel supported, respected and at ease from their very first interaction.
n
You'll be both the welcoming face of the service and a key support behind the scenes – helping keep things running smoothly while supporting individuals to feel confident taking the next step in their care journey.

Key responsibilities
n
n
- Create a warm and inclusive first impression by welcoming clients, carers and visitors with care, respect and professionalism
n
- Manage reception operations including phone enquiries, appointment bookings and confirmations, and maintaining accurate, confidential client records
n
- Support access to care by coordinating bookings, referrals and clinician schedules, and liaising with GP clinics and external providers
n
- Keep the service running smoothly by preparing reception and client spaces, supporting meetings and events, and managing day-to-day administrative tasks
n
- Provide broader administrative support including data entry, and supporting multiple programs across the centre
n
- Work closely with clinicians and partners to ensure coordinated, seamless service delivery
n

About you
n
You bring empathy, strong organisation and a collaborative approach to your work.
n
You'll thrive in this role if you have
n
n
- Experience in administration and/or reception roles, ideally within health or community services
n
- A compassionate, client-focused and non-judgemental approach, particularly when supporting young people aged 12–25 and their families/carers
n
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and understand client needs
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and confidence using data entry systems
n
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environment with attention to detail
n
- A strong commitment to confidentiality and respectful, person-centred practice
n
n
What will make you stand out
n
n
- A qualification in Business Administration (Certificate level or above) - highly regarded
n
- Experience in youth mental health or community services
n
- Familiarity with healthcare systems, including referrals and care coordination
n
- Experience with Best Practice (desirable but not essential)
n
- Flexibility in work hours and a willingness to adapt to the needs of the service
n
