An outstanding opportunity is available for an experienced PA/Medical Secretary to the surgeon to join this state of the artestablished urological practice. The position is offered on a permanent basis, 4 days per week, Tuesdays off.

The principal responsibilities of the role will include:

- Liaison with Private health fund companies and Medicare
n
- Liaison with patients regarding upcoming appointments, theatre etc.
n
- Providing patients with quotes – out of pocket expenses etc.
n
- Ensuring all paperwork is complete and accurate prior to surgery
n
- Scheduling surgery bookings and hospital stays
n
- Preparing and receipting accounts
n
- Organising and confirming with anaesthetists
n
- Collating theatre lists
n
- Organising extra theatre lists – e.g. Emergency cases etc.
n
- Booking of tests
n
- Arranging further tests / appointments for patient post-operative
n
- Assist in running of consulting sessions
n
- Extensive communication with hospitals, theatre staff, anaesthetists & assistants
n
- Booking of patient surgical procedures
n
- Preparation typing of medical reports
n
- Use of Xestro Medical software
n
- Paperless practice
n
- No audiotyping
n
- A minimum of 3 years specialist medical rooms experience
n
- Experience with medical software
n
- Familiar with medical terminology
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- Proactive and able to work autonomously
n
n
