Job Description

We're seeking a Disability Inclusion Facilitator to join a purpose-driven Community Impact team delivering engaging disability awareness workshops to primary and secondary school students across Melbourne.
n
This is an prospect to make a genuine difference by helping young people develop greater understanding, empathy and inclusion while representing a respected organisation committed to positive community outcomes.

About the Role
n
As a Disability Inclusion Facilitator, you'll deliver interactive workshops to students in Years 1-7, sharing your personal experiences in an authentic and inspiring way. Every presentation is an prospect to challenge perceptions, encourage meaningful conversations and help build more inclusive school communities.
n
This is a casual position offering approximately 2-3 days per week, primarily during Victorian school terms, with flexibility around working arrangements where possible.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Deliver engaging disability inclusion workshops in schools across Melbourne and surrounding suburbs, both in person and virtually.
n
- Share your lived experience to educate and inspire students.
n
- Build positive relationships with teachers and school staff.
n
- Collect participant and teacher feedback to continually enhance program delivery.
n
- Maintain high standards of workshop quality and achieve agreed program outcomes.
n
- Represent the organisation professionally and positively within the community.
n
n
About You
n
We're looking for someone who is passionate about inclusion and confident engaging with groups of young people.
n
You'll bring:
n
n
- Lived experience of disability and a willingness to share your personal journey in a positive and meaningful way.
n
- Experience presenting, facilitating, teaching or speaking to groups (particularly school-aged children is highly regarded).
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- A genuine passion for creating positive social change.
n
- The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
n
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
n
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
n
- Eligibility to obtain a valid Working with Children Check.
n
- A current driver's licence and reliable transport, with the ability to travel throughout metropolitan Melbourne (typically within 60km of the CBD).
n
