Genuine Parts Company (GPC) Asia Pacific is looking for a skilled property professional to lead our property operations, based from our support office in Rowville, VIC.

n

Reporting to the General Counsel & Company Secretary, you will manage our leasing, developments, maintenance, fit‐outs, and property acquisitions across Australia and New Zealand.

n

This leadership role is key to shaping and delivering GPC's property strategy to support business growth, cost efficiency, and strong partnerships throughout the organisation.

n

About the role of General Manager Property:

n

n
- Create and run a property plan that supports growth and uses resources wisely.
n
- Manage lease negotiations, rent reviews, budgets, and property expenses.
n
- Oversee property projects such as store fit‐outs, refurbishments, relocations, and maintenance.
n
- Lead, support and grow a motivated property team focused on safety and results.
n
- Build good working relationships with internal teams, landlords, contractors, and regulators.
n
- Ensure all property activities follow legal, safety, environmental, and financial rules.
n

About you:

n

n
- Broad experience in property or facilities management, with a history of successfully leading teams and senior projects.
n
- Skilled in negotiating commercial leases, planning asset lifecycles, and managing budgets.
n




- Robust stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and partner across multiple business functions.
n
- Knowledgeable about workplace health and safety, property laws, and risk management.
n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications required – e.g. Property, Business, Finance, Law, Construction or Facilities Management. Further qualifications, such as an MBA, desirable.
n
- Commercially focused with strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
n
