About the role:
n
The Business Development Manager will lead the Hospitality sector strategy across Australia with full accountability for delivering sustainable and profitable growth. You will play a pivotal role in driving business performance, strengthening distributor partnerships, and aligning with broader commercial objectives.
n
You will be responsible for:
n
Growth & Profitability
n
n
- Drive top- and bottom-line growth across the Hospitality sector
n
- Achieve and exceed revenue, profitability, and margin targets
n
- Develop and execute sector strategies to increase market share across all product lines
n
- Identify and implement initiatives to improve short- and long-term performance
n
- Optimize pricing and margin management within approved guidelines
n
n
Customer & Market Leadership
n
n
- Build strong relationships with key Hospitality customers, distributors, and decision-makers
n
- Identify emerging customer needs and translate them into growth opportunities
n
- Lead engagement with major accounts, including reviews and strategic planning sessions
n
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships
n
- Strengthen presence and influence within the Hospitality industry network
n
- Identify, pursue, and win recent business opportunities across distributor partners and end users
n
- Lead major deal negotiations and support high-value account acquisition
n
- Expand business through multi-product selling and solution-based approaches
n
- Support sales teams in winning and growing key accounts
n
n
Sales Leadership & Capability Building
n
n
- Guide and support distributor sales teams through coaching and in-field engagement
n
- Deliver training programs on new business development, product offerings, and competitive positioning
n
- Build strong collaboration between internal teams and external partners
n
- Foster a high-performance, growth-focused sales culture
n
- Accurately forecast sales and revenue across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles
n
- Track performance against KPIs including revenue, margin, and market share
n
- Ensure CRM systems and reporting tools are consistently updated
n
- Provide timely and accurate reporting to leadership
n
- Participate in regular business reviews and planning cycles
n
n
What you need to be successful
n
n
- 5-10 years of experience in business development or sales within a B2B environment
n
- Strong experience or network within the Hospitality industry (highly preferred)
n
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing key accounts
n
- Strong commercial acumen, including pricing and P&L; understanding
n
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
n
- Experience working with distributor networks and channel partners
n
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
n
- Self-driven, proactive, and results-oriented mindset
n
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
n
- Willingness to travel across regions
n
