Programmed Skilled Workforce is currently seeking an experienced Gardener to join our client's team in Braidwood on a casual labour hire basis.

n

This is a hands-on role working across parks, gardens, urban spaces and other Council-maintained areas. You will be responsible for maintaining high-quality public spaces and supporting a range of horticultural, landscaping and general outdoor maintenance activities.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- General gardening, horticultural and parks and gardens maintenance
n
- Lawn mowing, turf care and maintenance
n
- Weed control and safe chemical use
n
- Tree maintenance and pruning
n
- Irrigation and watering system maintenance
n
- Bushland management and regeneration
n
- Landscaping and minor construction works
n
- Litter and refuse collection
n
- Operating hand tools, power tools, small plant and equipment
n
- Operating tractors and other plant where required
n
- Fencing and bollard repairs and installation
n
- Worksite traffic control and placement of signage
n
- General outdoor labouring and cleaning duties
n
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised worksite
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

n

n
- Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, parks and gardens or landscaping
n
- A Certificate III in Horticulture or similar qualification is desirable
n




- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
n
- Good communication and customer service skills
n
- Ability to use mobile devices and basic computer systems
n
- Current NSW General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
n
- Current NSW Class C Driver Licence
n
- Work Zone Traffic Control – Traffic Controller qualification is highly desirable
n
- MR Driver Licence
n
- Chainsaw qualifications
n
- Experience operating tractors, water carts, small plant and horticultural equipment
n
