Our client is a proudly Australian-owned manufacturer and supplier of flexible packaging solutions for the food processing industry. Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a dedicated and experiencedMaintenance Fitterto join their close-knit and supportive team. This is a fantastic opening for a hands-on tradesperson who thrives on working across a diverse range of equipment and is looking to secure a long-term, stable career within a thriving essential industry.

This role is offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis for the right candidate, providing a clear and reliable pathway to long-term employment.

Shift times – 7am to 3.30pm, 40hr week, Monday to Friday with O/T as required.

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

As a vital member of the maintenance team, you will ensure the manufacturing plant operates at peak efficiency. Your day-to-day duties will include:

n

Performing general maintenance and vital repairs on a wide variety of parts, plant infrastructure, and manufacturing machinery.

n

Executing rapid-response breakdown troubleshooting to minimize production downtime.

n

Conducting scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity and reliability of site equipment.

n

Carrying out routine and unplanned mechanical tasks as they arise on the production floor.

Assisting with general ad hoc facility and equipment tasks to support the broader operations team.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a proactive and skilled tradesperson who takes pride in the quality of their work. To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess the following attributes:

n

Proven experience working as a Maintenance Fitter within a fast-paced production or manufacturing workplace.

n

The ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and manage your time effectively without constant supervision.

n

A high level of attention to detail to ensure all repairs meet strict operational and safety standards.

n

Practical experience in basic welding, with basic metal fabrication skills highly regarded as a distinct advantage.

n

A steadfast commitment to workplace safety and strict adherence to OH&S; principles at all times.

n

Desirable:A valid Forklift Licence and previous operating experience will be viewed favourably.

n
