Experienced Underground Electricians - Longwall and Development

The Maxwell Underground Mine, owned by Malabar Resources Ltd has commenced operations at their Hunter Valley site, with production projected of up to 8 million tonnes of coal per annum. With a long life, the underground mine targets high quality coal, with the majority being metallurgical coal.

ABOUT THE ROLE

n

To support our ongoing growth, we currently have a number of opportunities for Experienced Underground Electrical Tradespeople to join our Longwall and Development Teams. The successful applicants will be passionate about mining and have a proven track record in an underground coal mining environment.

n

Key responsibilities:

n

- Install, commission, maintain and operate underground mining equipment.
n
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults.
n
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
n




- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance.
n
- Collaborate with team members to optimise equipment performance and minimise downtime.
n
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
n

ABOUT YOU

n

To be successful in this role you will:

n
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Underground Coal Mining.
n
- Certificate of proficiency in an electrical trade.
n
- Sound knowledge of underground mining equipment and machinery.
n
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
n
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
n
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
n

Successful applicants will be required to undertake an Order 45 medical, including drug and alcohol.
