The Role

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and proactive financial accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer you'll be responsible for the maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of financial and management reports and forecasting. As part of the broader finance team you will support tax lodgements and assist accounts payable and receivable as required, and move to manage the payroll process in the medium term. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude who loves working in a team based environment. Strong attention to detail is important, as is the ability to identify process improvements and opportunities for efficiencies.

Key responsibilities





- Maintenance of the general ledger
- Preparation and maintenance of cashflow forecasts and reporting to support business planning
- Supporting payroll processing
- Completion of balance sheet, bank, and control account reconciliations
- Monthly financial reports preparation
- Lodgement of BAS, GST, FBT, and other statutory or regulatory reporting requirements
- Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

About you

- High attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills
- Robust analytical and problem solving capabilities
- Sound judgement, integrity and confidentiality
- Demonstrated experience in financial accounting, month-end closing, reconciliations and financial reporting
- Experience with PRONTO preferred, but not essential
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business or a related discipline
