About the Role

MSS Security is seeking a Part‐Time Aviation Protection Officer to join our team at Ballina Airport. As an Aviation Protection Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff and airport operations.

Responsibilities
n
n
- Conduct security screening of passengers, staff, and visitors
n
- Operate screening equipment and security technology, including X‐ray machines, metal detectors, and Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) systems
n
- Perform passenger, staff, visitor, and baggage screening to identify prohibited items,
dangerous goods, and security threats
n
- Monitor and patrol airport facilities, reporting and responding to security incidents, breaches, and potential risks
n

Requirements

- Full Australian working rights
n
- Strong communication and customer service skills
n
- Ability to undergo and pass a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing)
n
- 24/7 availability required
