We're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and customer-focused Parts Sales & Procurement Coordinator to join our growing team.
n
This is a diverse, hands‐on position where you'll be involved in sales, purchasing, inventory management, warehouse operations and customer support. If you enjoy variety, solving problems and working in a fast‐paced automotive environment, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for parts interpretation, purchasing and inventory management, as well as customer sales and support.
n
Working closely with our workshop, warehouse and administration teams, you will help ensure our customers receive the right products, on time, every time.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership and being involved in all aspects of the business.

Your Responsibilities
n
n
- Deliver exceptional customer service via phone, email and over the counter.
n
- Develop strong relationships with trade, mining, transport and retail customers.
n
- Prepare quotations and actively follow up opportunities to maximise sales.
n
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
n
- Identify upselling and cross‐selling opportunities.
n
- Promote Gibson Driveshaft Services' products and custom manufacturing capabilities.
n
- Resolve customer enquiries professionally.
n
n
Purchasing & Procurement
n
n
- Source products from Australian and international suppliers.
n
- Obtain supplier quotations and negotiate pricing.
n
- Raise and manage purchase orders.
n
- Monitor supplier lead times and delivery performance.
n
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels.
n
- Forecast stock requirements based on customer demand.
n
- Manage backorders and expedite urgent deliveries.
n
- Identify purchasing efficiencies and cost‐saving opportunities.
n
n
Parts Interpretation
n
n
- Interpret customer enquiries using vehicle details, OEM part numbers and technical specifications.
n
- Identify suitable driveshafts, universal joints, centre bearings, CV shafts and related driveline components.
n
- Maintain an up‐to‐date knowledge of our expanding product range.
n
n
Warehouse & Inventory
n
Assist with warehouse duties where required, this may include:
n
n
- Receive, inspect and store incoming stock.
n
- Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders.
n
- Conduct stocktakes and cycle counts.
n
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
n
- Supply workshop technicians with required components.
n
- Coordinate freight bookings and dispatch documentation.
n
- Maintain a clean, organised and secure warehouse.
n
n
Administration
n
n
- Assist with general administration duties as required.
n
- Prepare quotations, invoices and purchase orders.
n
- Process customer payments.
n
- Maintain supplier and customer records.
n
- Update inventory and pricing information within inventory software.
n
n
About You
n
n
- Has previous experience in automotive/truck/mining parts sales, purchasing, inventory or warehouse operations.
n
- Has strong mechanical aptitude and enjoys solving technical problems.
n
- Is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
n
- Is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
n
- Enjoys working both in the office and warehouse.
n
- Takes pride in accuracy and attention to detail.
n
- Works well independently and as part of a team.
n
- Purchasing or procurement experience.
n
- Inventory management experience.
n
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
n
- Experience using inventory or ERP.
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
n
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
n
- Truck and Mining parts experience.
n
- Experience with driveshafts or driveline components.
n
- Experience supplying mining, transport or heavy vehicle industries.
n
- First Aid Certificate.
n
