Director of Corporate and Institutional Banking

Our client is a leading international bank in Corporate and Institutional banking field. They are looking for a Senior Relationship Manager to join their fast-growing Sydney branch.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Take proactive ownership of a diversified portfolio of domestic and international corporate and institutional clients, gaining a deep understanding of their financial positions and borrowing requirements.
n
- Originate new credit proposals and restructure existing facilities as needed to optimize portfolio performance and client outcomes.
n
- Prepare comprehensive credit and financial analyses in line with the Bank's policies, procedures, and risk appetite.
n
- Conduct industry research and stay up to date with relevant regulatory changes and their potential impact on clients and portfolio strategy.
n
- Perform initial Know Your Customer (KYC) due diligence and draft detailed credit submissions for review by the Credit Risk department, ensuring compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory standards.
n
- Manage post-settlement client relationships, monitor ongoing financial performance, and identify early signs of credit deterioration or default risk.
n
- Participate in industry events and networking activities to support business development and enhance the Bank's market presence.
n




- Provide regular reporting and strategic feedback to senior management, supporting informed decision-making and portfolio oversight.
n

Candidate Requirements

n
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Relationship Management role within Banking or Financial Services.
n
- Strong knowledge of corporate and institutional lending products, credit structuring, and financial analysis.
n
- Working knowledge of AML/CTF and KYC requirements for large corporate clients, along with familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., APRA, AUSTRAC, ASIC, AFCA, ACCC).
n
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, with effective marketing and commercial negotiation skills.
n
- Self-motivated and capable of operating independently in a agile and broad-based role, with a strong sense of accountability and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of stakeholders.
